🛑 We Hear You! 🛑

We know there’s been some silence, and we acknowledge the frustration that may have caused. Thank you for sticking with us! But here’s the TL;DR: MidWest FanFest is still on! 🎉 We’re making some changes, scaling things back, and putting our focus where it matters most—on community and connection.

While we dreamed of kicking down the door and going huge right out of the gate, life had other plans. So we’re adjusting and scaling down to a fun-packed two and a half days! Here’s what you can expect:

➡️ Friday will be dedicated to vendor setup, followed by an epic kick-off party with a huge cosplay event, dancing, and geeky karaoke! 🎤

➡️ Saturday will be a full day of fandom fun: vendors, panels, our cosplay competition, and a geeky rave to cap off the night! 🎶

➡️ Sunday will close out with more panels and time to enjoy our amazing artists and vendors, giving us the perfect way to wrap up 2024. 🎨

But beyond the fun and fandom, we want to highlight something close to our hearts. The past five years have been tough for everyone, with America at a record high for mental health challenges. What these last few years has taught us is that community is crucial for our mental well-being. That’s why, this year, our charity focus is on NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

✨ We’re excited to announce the Weary Souls Respawn Point, a quiet space to rest and recharge, with small activities to help us all support each other. This will be dedicated to mental health awareness, in NAMI’s honor. We’ll share more details on this in a separate post!
